Assign Swift API Administrator Role

1As a swift.com administrator, log in to your swift.com account. 2Click your name, then select Edit your profile. 3Select the Search Users tab and search for a user that needs the ability to create License ID and License Secret. 4Click the user, then select Contact Roles. 5Click Edit on the top right. 6Under Security Contact Roles section, find Swift API Administrator and change the checkbox to checked. 7Click the Save.

Create License ID and Secret

1As a Swift API Administrator, log in to your swift.com account. 2Click your name, then select Edit your profile. Hover over the Admin Functions tab and click License ID creation.

3Enter a License ID name and description. Select the corresponding API service contract from and move it to , then click .

4Select your BICs from the list under Source of which should be granted access to the APIs and move the BICs to Target, then click Next.

5Go to License ID assignment tab, select the License ID that was created.

6Search for users from your institution who should have access to the License ID and License Secret (Eg, IT team members) and assign access to the user(s).

The user(s) assigned can view License ID and License Secret. If the API administrators want to view the License Secret, then they should assign it to themselves.

View License ID and Secret

After the License ID has been assigned to the user, the user will be able to view the License ID and License Secret through their profile page.

1As the assigned user, login to swift.com.

2Hover over Personal Info tab and select API License IDs to view the License ID and Secret.
